Vampire Name Generator

Vampire names are old-world and ornate. They draw from Romanian, French, Italian, and German aristocracy — Alaric Dracul, Mircalla Nachtmahr, Vivienne de Lioncourt. A good vampire name feels like it came out of a locked Eastern European library in 1847 and never stopped haunting the margins.

Use this generator for Vampire: The Masquerade characters, Ravenloft NPCs, D&D vampires and vampire spawn, gothic novels, urban-fantasy antagonists, and any setting where immortal elegance is the point. Both masculine and feminine name forms are included.

Giving your vampire depth

  • Layer an older name. Vampires who have lived for centuries might have had three names in three languages. Generate a few and treat them as different eras of the same being.
  • Regional accuracy matters. A Romanian vampire (Drăculești, Basarab) should sound different from a French one (de Lioncourt, Caligari). Mix and match to taste.
  • Titles add texture. "Count," "Lady," "Baron" — pre-20th century titles reinforce the old-world feel.
